Shiva in Himalaya

Situated in the breathtakingly beautiful and picturesque environs of the Himalayan foothills,on the banks of river Alaknanda, Shaswat Dham Ashram is on the main Badrinath route just 3 hours/ 80 kms away from Rishikesh which is easily accessible by rail and road from all parts of India. Lord Rama's younger brother is said to have prayed here. This place also has a Sivalinga with Lord Siva's face on it. It is believed that the depth to which this Sivalinga goes under the earth is unfathomable. The ashram was established by Swami Advaitanand Maharaj and is presently looked after by Swami Satyanand ji .

Swami Satyanand is simlicity - personified. In a world where it is difficult for a normal person to stay close to the truth Swami ji epoitomizes all that is just and good and pious.
